What new and different inclusive practices are in the classroom, in the school, and in our communities?

Fall Yard Day – Thank You!

Thanks to all the families that came out to Fall Yard Day and our Welcome Back BBQ on Saturday. It was a gorgeous fall day, and we had a great turnout and got a lot of work done! The Hillside Garden, Kinder-Garden and schoolyard are all trimmed, weeded, swept and cleaned – and ready for outdoor learning this fall. It is great to see so many Runnymede students, of all ages, take such pride and ownership of their schoolyard and the treasure that is our Hillside Garden. A special thank you to all of the volunteers on the Yard committee and Spirit committee who made Yard Day possible.

New Mural Helps Mark Our Upcoming Centennial

As part of our countdown to the centennial, grade five and six students completed a mural at the end of last year depicting the years from 1916 through the 1930s. This mural will be hung in the main entrance of the school. Over the next four years the remaining decades will be depicted in mural form.

Check out SNAP Bloor West’s coverage of the mural. This looks fantastic – we can’t wait to see the next four years’ worth.
