LOST & FOUND INFORMATION FOR YOU!
📍 Where is the Lost and Found?
The Lost and Found is located in the basement. Enter via the main Door 1 and head downstairs, and go towards the end of the hallway.
Students and families are encouraged to check the Lost and Found whenever an item is missing.
🧥 How Items Are Collected
• Items found on the school field, playground, and around the school are collected and brought down to the Lost and Found.
• All found items are placed in the designated Lost and Found area so they can be easily located by students and families
• When an item has a student’s name on it, efforts should be made to return it to its owner whenever possible.
📅 Monthly Lost and Found Clean-Up
The Lost and Found is sorted and cleared on the first Friday of every month, in coordination with Pizza Lunch.
During this time:
• Unlabelled items remaining in the Lost and Found are gathered and packed into bags or boxes.
• Each bag or box is dated to identify when the items were packed.
• Packed items are stored for an additional month to give families one more opportunity to claim their belongings.

♻️ What Happens to Unclaimed Items?
Unlabelled items follow a two-month process:
Month 1 — Collection and Packing: On the first Friday of the month, unlabelled items are packed and dated.
Month 2 — Additional Holding Period: Items are kept for one additional month in case they are claimed.
After the Holding Period — Donation: Any items still unclaimed are washed and donated.
Example: Items packed on the first Friday of October are held throughout November and donated after the additional holding period, if they remain unclaimed.
💡 How You Can Help
• Label your child’s belongings with their name.
• Check the Lost and Found regularly for missing items.
• Remind students to collect their belongings before the monthly clean-up.
• Help keep the Lost and Found area organized.
