Lice Screening K – 6 on Tuesday September 15

Did you know that September is the most common month for head lice infections?  As the school year gets underway, we would like to try to minimize the potential for any cases of lice to spread at Runnymede.

A lice check will be conducted for all Kindergarten to Grade Six students on Tuesday September 15, 2015.

For this initial check we are partnering with Nitworks to screen the students. Administration and a group of parent volunteers will be assisting in this initiative.  We plan on mobilizing a parent volunteer team to conduct future screenings in January and March.

To cover the cost of this initiative we are asking parents to please send a toonie in an envelope or taped to a piece of paper marked ‘lice check’ and your child’s name & classroom.  This is not a fundraiser, the $2 is to cover the cost of the lice check only.  Students can bring their money in Monday or Tuesday this week.

Thank you for your co-operation.
