| HAPPY PRINCIPAL’S DAY! THANK YOU! National Principals’ Day is celebrated annually on May 1st to honour the essential leadership, dedication, and impact of school principals and vice-principals on student success. It is a time for students, parents, and staff to express gratitude for the leaders who create safe, productive, and supportive learning environments. Thank you to our amazing Admin team, Rosanna Sardella, Jonathan Salvatore, & Amy Markidis!   THANK YOU RUNNYMEDE! We are so lucky to have such wonderful staff, admin, students, and parent volunteers at Runnymede! So many amazing events have happened this past week alone – and thanks to your generous donations to the HSA / Parent Council throughout the year – we have been able to continue to enrich the student experience, and have tons of fun!YARD DAY The HSA Green Committee organized this wonderful day out, and despite the rain, an amazing team came to help beautify the Runnymede Yard and Hillside Garden!    .  MATILDA THE MUSICAL WAS A HIT! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Thank you to the incredible team who contributed to make this amazing production happen! The teachers who spent countless hours planning and rehearsing, the students on stage and behind the scenes giving it their all, and the parent volunteers, HSA Art Committee, Admin team, and school staff for all their support!       ROCKS & RINGS CURLING! All Primary classed from K-3 were given the opportunity to receive instruction in a new sport! The students had a blast at the Rocks and Rings program. There may be a few future curlers in the room!  PIZZA DAY As one of our best fundraisers, Pizza Day is also a ton of fun for the kids and the almost 40 parent volunteers who come out to help every month to serve over 900 kids their pizza in under an hour! Thank you!   TRF (TEACHER RESOURCE FUNDWe are very grateful for donations to the Runnymede HSA / Parent Council, so we can provide all classrooms with TRF money (up to $500 this year!) to help enrich the learning experience for all our students! This year in one class alone, we were able to buy a butterfly raising kit, a class set of canvases, some quality watercolour paper and clay to finish the year with extra fun art projects (since it was so much fun at Harbourfront), and several new durable hardcover books to freshen up the classroom library!  |
| THE RUNNYMEDE FUN FAIR IS BACK! SAVE THE DATE: June 3 We need volunteers for the Runnymede HSA / Parent Council Executive team next year!  Amazing events and enrichment at Runnymede can’t happen without parents like you stepping up to help where they can! The Fun & Fundraising committee and the STEM committee need Committee Chairs for next year – WE NEED YOU! (retiring chairs are happy to help guide and support the new team)We can have several Committee Co-chairs on each team to share the work, so grab a friend and please reach out if you’re interested in joining us to lead a committee or lead an event that you love and don’t want to lose!
