STAFF APPRECIATION LUNCH – JUNE 11
We need you!
Runnymede SAC/Parent Council is once again hosting the much-loved Staff Appreciation Lunch in celebration of Runnymede’s amazing and dedicated teachers, administrators, office staff, caretakers, lunch supervisors and crossing guards.
The Staff Appreciation lunch will take place on Thursday, June 11th
All staff members are invited to enjoy a lunch provided and served by Runnymede families!
Please contribute a Food Item to the Potluck:
Items can be purchased or homemade.
Please see link below for what is needed and sign-up for a dish!
Please specify what you will be bringing – please scan the list for duplicates (variations of similar dishes is fine). All dishes must benut-free.
Dishes can be dropped off in the Office or Staff Room on the day of the lunch between
8:30 -11:00 a.m. All food should come in disposable containers!

PRIMARY SPORTS DAY – JUNE 12
We are so excited to announce that Primary Sport Day is coming up on Friday, June 12, 2026, and we would love your help to make it an amazing day for our students!
This year, all Primary students from Grades 1 to 3/4 (split) will be rotating through 12 fun activity stations — from Gaga Ball and Obstacle Courses to Sprint Races, Basketball, Dance, and more!
We are looking for enthusiastic parent volunteers to help run stations and support students throughout the event between 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm
As a station volunteer, you will:
• Help supervise and cheer on students at your assigned station
• Running the activity
• Help keep the energy high and the fun going!
No experience needed, just enthusiasm and a love for seeing kids have fun!

Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm to help make this year’s Fun Fair such a success!
With a school community of 1,000 students, events like this simply couldn’t happen without volunteers. Whether you helped with setup, activities, food service, ticket sales, clean-up, or stepped in wherever needed, your contribution helped create a fun and memorable day for our students and families.
We know everyone is balancing busy schedules, work, family commitments and countless other demands, which makes your willingness to volunteer even more meaningful. The smiles, laughter, and excitement throughout the day were made possible because of your support.
Thank you for bringing our school community together.
It was truly a wonderful community building event!
Special thanks to Jenna & Megan for leading the HSA/Parent Council’s Fun & Fundraising committee again this year, and for their tireless work putting on Fun Fair! (and the many other amazing events we enjoyed, from Kindergarten Welcome, Marlies Game, Pub night etc etc !).
If you enjoy event planning, and would like to get involved next year, both committee chairs are retiring from the HSA so we need help to make sure these amazing events (and fundraising that let us give so much to the school) can still happen! Please reach out!
Make sure to give special thanks if you see Mr. Pagé, Mr. Evangelou or Mr. Salvatore also! They went above and beyond volunteering to be in the dunk tank – Also thank you to the two brave Runnymede dads who volunteered to fill n the gaps!
As always, thank you to Runnymede’s amazing admin team, teachers, office staff and custodians, for always being supportive and willing to participate and help make sure Runnymede is a fun place to be! We do it all for the kids!

Thank you to Runnymede teacher Ms Kelly Crosswaithe and the HSA Athletics Committee for organizing the Bike Rodeo to celebrate Bike to School Week! Kids had a great time visiting all the stations!
