Runnymede in the West Toronto Art Tour!

We are thrilled to announce that Runnymede PS has been invited to participate in the highly anticipated 2023 West Toronto Art Tour. This community-based initiative showcases the extraordinary artwork of local artists across the west end. Under the guidance of the visionary Mr. Ouellette, our creative and talented senior students will proudly exhibit their masterpieces in an outdoor art gallery near the field and in the arts wing.

🎨 Saturday, June 3rd

🎨 Sunday, June 4th

🎨 11 am to 5 pm on both days

Please mark your calendars for the upcoming tour on Saturday, June 3rd, and Sunday, June 4th, from 11 am to 5 pm. We encourage you to visit Runnymede’s stop and explore the other captivating locations on the tour. It promises to be a delightful and inspiring way to immerse yourself in the vibrant local art scene.

We warmly welcome volunteers to contribute to the success of this event.

Yard Day & Recycling Event !

Join us on April 22nd for Runnymede’s Spring Yard Day & first-ever Recycling Event! Each year our community gathers to get our school’s beloved Hillside Nature Garden in tip-top shape for outdoor learning.

Yard Day We need your help to spread mulch on the trails, collect litter, sweep, plant flowers, trim bushes, and water plants and shrubs. No experience necessary. Feel free to bring your own gardening gloves, buckets, wheelbarrows, and shovels – we have lots available for use too.

Recycling This year in celebration of Earth Day, we’re adding a recycling event to help your family clean out the house and safely dispose of items like batteries and cellphones. In partnership with the Toronto Zoo’s Phone Apes program, we will collect and recycle your old phones to help protect the habitat of the endangered Lowland Gorilla.

Spiritwear Resale From April 3-14, you can drop off your used Runnymede branded spiritwear (t-shirts, hats, hoodies and black band shirts) in the marked bin outside the main office. We will collect, clean and sort everything to re-sell at the event.

Other activities:

  • Worm “planting”, crafts, kids’ book swap (bring your books and come home with new ones!), and more.
  • Coffee and hot chocolate will be provided and nut-free baking and store-bought snack donations are welcome.

Join us for half an hour, or the whole morning. Whatever works for you and your family.
