The Runnymede STEM Committee is bringing back The AMAZING MATH RACE! ***Adult Volunteers needed The Amazing Math Race is a Runnymede tradition which is a parent-led STEM program. We are bringing back this event for grade 4 & 5 students, so they can spend the afternoon indoors and outdoors completing fun hands-on math activities! It is a half-day activity that needs parent volunteers to lead the individual activities as groups of students rotate from station to station. With the help of grade 7 & 8 students, parent volunteers will help to set up materials for their activity and make sure that it runs smoothly for all the groups of students. ● Volunteers for the Grade 4 Amazing Math Race are needed on Thursday June 22nd at 11:30am-3:15pm ● Volunteers for the Grade 5 Amazing Math Race are needed on Friday June 23rd at 11:30am-3:15pm
Prior to the event there will be one zoom meeting with all adult volunteers so you can learn more about what will happen on the day of your event, to assign individual activities and to give you plenty of time to become familiar with your station. You do not have to be a math expert!

Remember we can’t run many of these events without parents and family members volunteering to help out, and there are still lots of chances left! Including: Illuminations ART night, Math Amazing Race, Graduation, Teacher appreciation lunch and more!

We are thrilled to announce that Runnymede PS has been invited to participate in the highly anticipated 2023 West Toronto Art Tour. This community-based initiative showcases the extraordinary artwork of local artists across the west end. Under the guidance of the visionary Mr. Ouellette, our creative and talented senior students will proudly exhibit their masterpieces in an outdoor art gallery near the field and in the arts wing.

Please mark your calendars for the upcoming tour on Saturday, June 3rd, and Sunday, June 4th, from 11 am to 5 pm. We encourage you to visit Runnymede’s stop and explore the other captivating locations on the tour. It promises to be a delightful and inspiring way to immerse yourself in the vibrant local art scene.
We warmly welcome volunteers to contribute to the success of this event.
