The Kindergarten Spring Gallery Walk and Grade 3 Photo Exhibit and Silent Auction at Maison Fou Brasserie was a huge success! Thank you to the many Runnymede families that came by to take a look.
FDK and Impressionism
The inspiration for the art work was Claude Monet. Young artists learned about “impressionism” as well as Claude Monet. Students worked with oil pastels to create a watercolour resist, pulling out clouds with tissue and using acrylic paint to create the sense of flowers blowing the in the wind to create an “impressionist” style painting
Grade 3 Photography
Gr. 3 students experimented with artistic composition in photography. Students looked for contrast and interesting composition within the frame. They experimented with wide and medium angles, close ups, as well as texture and pattern. Each class was given a different subject to explore– (i.e. lines, circles, squares/rectangles etc).
Thank you for celebrating spring with Runnymede’s young artists and their families!
