A Message from Dale Cadeau, Council Chair

image1.JPGAs the school year comes to an end, so will my third and final year as Chair at Runnymede PS.

It has been an honour getting to know parents, students, teachers & administration.  Knowing you are making a difference, in any small way, to the betterment of our children’s’ educational journey is truly humbling.  If you are new to the school, or wondering about how to make a difference, just jump right in as I did!  You won’t regret it!  Our Council thrives on the unique harmonies of new and seasoned parents!

I recently attended the Senior Concert, which was an incredible testament to the amazing music program at Runnymede.  As the Grade 8 Orchestra majestically performed ‘Pines of Rome’ as the finale, I was moved to tears by realizing they had successfully reached the end of their road at Runnymede.  A parallel of sorts, you could say!

Thank you, parents, for allowing me to be a part of this great Council, which will continue to thrive under new leadership next school year.  Thank you to Principal Hochberg for his incredible leadership and collaboration with Parent Council.  Thanks also to our VP’s, Susan & Anna for all of their support with Council initiatives.  Thank you to Greg, my Co-chair and all of the Committee Chairs for their invaluable contributions this year. We have all learned a lot and I am excited for the changes being implemented next year!  Bravo to all of us, for all that we do for our children, as a parent body and as a community.

Have a safe & happy summer!
Dale
