HSA & SAC PARENT COUNCIL MEETINGS
ARE ON THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 24th
The Runnymede Home & School Association (HSA) and the Runnymede SAC (School Advisory Council) hold meetings in-person and via zoom and everyone is welcome to attend!
Hear what’s going on at Runnymede, and hear updates from Admin, Student and teacher reps, and what’s being planned for our students and community!
The first meeting will be Thursday, Sept. 24th from 7 pm – 9pm in the library.
Meetings will run one after the other, and will also be available via Zoom.

The Runnymede HSA is made up of a group of parents who volunteer to lead the Green, STEM, Arts, Athletics, Fun & Fundraising & Communications committees. The HSA organizes and runs all the special FUN, FUNDRAISING & ENRICHMENT activities, and initiatives that help support teachers and bring the school to life!
We encourage anyone wanting to be actively involved in their child’s education and enrichment this year to come to the meetings, and consider joining the HSA team!
There are currently openings on ALL our committees, and we have no FUN & FUNDRAISING CHAIRS yet, so please find out more HERE and consider getting involved!
Joining our exec team is a great way to learn more about Runnymede, work closely with teachers and administrators, be involved in important decisions that affect all students, and work with some amazing, dedicated parents!
No experience is necessary!

Elections for the Runnymede School Advisory Council (SAC) executive are held in September at the first meeting. We welcome any new members who want to volunteer!
Runnymede SAC – 3 committees that remain under the SAC umbrella that are open to parent/guardian and school council participation include:
I. Safe & Caring Schools Committee (PPM 144, 145 & Operational Procedure PR. 703)
II. Staffing Committee
III. School Improvement Plan (SIP)
If you are interested in joining these SAC committees please reach out and come to the first meeting!
We also need Class/Grade Representatives and a Graduation Committee as part of the SAC so learn more here and please reach out if you want to get involved!
VOLUNTEERS – We need your help!
Sign up at our GENERAL VOLUNTEER LIST even if you’re just able to help out with a single event throughout the year.
Events will not be possible this year, without leads willing to organize them!
We will reach out when the time comes for a specific event, with more information
to see if you’re available.

THE RUNNYMEDE GEAR T-SHIRT SALE IS ON NOW!
This sale is for the orange athletic tech shirts only and the sale will close on
September 20th at midnight
in order for the shirts to arrive in time for the first cross country meet in early October! – we will not be able to process orders after the deadline.
This store is for Runnymede athletic tees only – we will be offering the full store later this fall.
Shirts will be delivered to the classroom prior to the first meet.

KINDERGARTEN MEET & GREET – Sept 27
OUR FIRST PIZZA DAY IS FRIDAY OCTOBER 2nd
GET YOUR ORDERS IN BY THE MONDAY BEFORE!
Pizza days are the second biggest fundraiser for Runnymede’s parent-run Home & School Association (HSA)after only the Direct Donation campaign!

FALL YARD DAY IS SATURDAY OCT 3
All Runnymede families are welcome to come out and join in this great RPS tradition!
Fall Yard is a school-based “community clean-up” morning where the whole family can weed and tidy the nature garden and outdoor classrooms at the school. We’ll collect litter, trim invasive plants and weeds, sweep and tidy.
Apple peeling, and a nature craft will be set up in the Adventure Yard (rear of school).
We’ll also have nut-free baking snacks to share, and coffee for the grown ups!
Stop by for an hour to help out, or come for the whole morning!

We are required by the Ontario Federation of Home & School Associations to use the new payment system ZEFFY for all online transactions (like Pizza day orders, Direct donation, Marlies tickets etc) – PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE NOT ABLE TO SET ZEFFY’S ‘TIP’ OPTION TO ZERO AS A DEFAULT – YOU MUST CHANGE IT MANUALLY unless you want to donate a tip to Zeffy!!
