Nuit Orange: Volunteers Wanted!

Planning is currently underway for a new Runnymede event: Nuit Orange!

Event Date: January 31, 2018

Nuit Orange will be a fantastic evening celebrating the arts at Runnymede in all its forms.  There will be live music, drama showcases and dance performances by our students.  Your children’s fine art projects will be prominently displayed.  There will be refreshments served and a great chance to mingle and meet other Runnymede families.

We need your help to plan the Parent Council portion of this event!  Please e-mail the Spirit Committee to let us know if you can help in the lead-up to the event, or volunteer at the refreshment stand on the evening of.

Game: 4:00pm – 6:30pm
Post Game Skate: 7:00pm

Tickets will be distributed to classrooms on Wednesday November 15th.

An e-mail has been sent to all ticket holders with details about the event.

Also, a special shout-out to Dylan who dressed as the incredible Marlies Mascot “Duke the Dog” for Halloween.   Dylan wins a prize pack for showing his Marlies and Runnymede spirit!!


Ticket Info

  • Paper tickets will be distributed Wednesday November 15th
  • They will be sent home with the child you listed on the ticket order
  • You will need to bring these tickets to Ricoh Coliseum to get in to the event.
  • Your e-mail confirmation or credit card receipt are NOT tickets, and will NOT give you entry to the venue.

Venue Info

  • The game will take place at Ricoh Coliseum (directions here)
  • Tickets will be grouped together in a few centre sections, so you can sit with your friends!
  • “Marlies Alley” is open 90 minutes prior to the game, and features interactive games such as bubble hockey, hockey shooting challenge, foosball and community displays

Post-Game Skate Info

  • Skates & Helmets can be brought into the arena before the game in small bags or backpacks ONLY.  You will not be allowed to bring large duffel/hockey bags into the game.
  • If you choose to leave your skates in the car until after the game, you can re-enter the arena via the north “group entry” doors at noted on the map below
  • Meet at section 108 after the game ends, once you have your skates
  • Helmets are mandatory for any skaters under 13 years old.
  • No hockey sticks or pucks permitted
  • Waivers must be signed for everyone going on the ice

– Donations Needed –

Get your Halloween off to a “Green “ start this year by clearing out your Tickle Trunks/Dress-up bins and donating your gently-used children’s costumes and/or accessories to Runnymede’s annual Costume Sale! Don’t buy new this year – help green our community and save some money by shopping at the sale.

Collection will be from Sept 14 – Oct 11 – drop off your costumes in the morning at the Office.

We are accepting CLEAN, gently-used, wearable costumes AND/OR accessories (wigs, shoes, shields, etc.) in all sizes.  Costumes will be priced from $5-$25.  First come, first serve basis.

Sale to be Wed Oct 11th and/or Thurs Oct 12th in the front yard from 3:15 – 4pm (weather & supply permitting)

Proceeds from the sale will go to Parent Council and be used to enrich school programs.  All costumes left over after the sale will be donated to the George Hull Centre for Children & Families.
