Where to Go on the First Day of School

School starts next Tuesday! Find your classroom and entry door on the attached list, and check out this handy map that identifies where each grade should line up (click the image for a larger PDF version). Note: The Colbeck Yard will be CLOSED on Tuesday. Please access to the Adventure Yard from the north end of the school.

Rain Plan: If it is raining heavily on Tuesday, students should enter the school and go directly to their classrooms (look for volunteers at each of the doors for assistance).

NOTE: Grade 2/3 splits will line up in the adventure playground.
Also look for these coloured signs:

Kindergarten: RED
Grade 1: YELLOW
Grade 2: DARK BLUE
Grade 3: PINK
Grade 4: GREEN
Grade 5: LIGHT BLUE
Grade 6: ORANGE

What's Going On In the School Field?

The Runnymede sports field is being restored by the TDSB. Students and parents will receive more details the first week back at school.

Save the Date – Fall 2011 Yard Day and Hillside Garden 20th Anniversary Celebration!

Saturday, September 24th, 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
This special Fall Yard Day event will include our usual yard work in the morning, followed by a special performance and BBQ lunch! Bring the whole family to this great community event to kick off the school year!

Runnymede Accepts $25,000 from the Keg

Check out the Inside Toronto coverage of Runnymede admin accepting a Thanks a Million award from the Keg. Principal Amelia Dennis and Vice Principals Rob Hochberg and Michael Kanalec were on hand at the June 29 event to accept the award. The Keg Steakhouse and Bar presented awards of $25,000 to 40 worthy community groups, selected from more than 1,300 entries. Thanks to the entire Runnymede community for voting us into one of the top spots! New sound system, here we come!
